Deadline Monday to Sign up for, or Decline, Insurance Coverage

Important District Chromebook Damage and Loss Information

Consistent with Board Policy 7523, BHS students who have requested a district Chromebook have been issued a device for their use at school and at home. Students are responsible for the proper care of the equipment that has been provided.

We understand that families recognize their responsibility to keep these tools secure and in good working order. In response, the district has developed an optional Damage/Loss Protection Program to help interested families reduce the financial risk if a Chromebook is accidentally damaged, stolen, vandalized or lost. Please note that participation in the Protection Program is completely voluntary.

If you choose not to enroll in the Protection Program and the Chromebook is damaged or lost, please know that your family will be responsible for the full cost of either repair due to damage or replacement of the Chromebook listed below.

Beginning on Monday, November 15th, those without insurance will be charged the following for any damages:

Chromebook $365.00

Screen $95.00

Keyboard $50.00

Battery $50.00

Power supply/cord $55.00

Hotspot $55.00

Chromebook Case $25.00

If you have not already done so, please take a moment to complete this form to sign-up or decline insurance coverage. Thank you to those that have already submitted your response.
