Tuesday! Attention BHS Parents/Guardians

The HSA and the BHS Guidance Department are presenting a parent program "Vaping and our Children" on Tuesday January 24, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the BHS Media Center. Click here for more information. All are welcome to attend this in-person event.

New Marking Period Grade Reporting

The grade reporting schedule for Marking Period 2 is as follows:

Marking Period Ends: 1/27

Portal Closed to Students/Parents: 1/27 - 2/6

Portal Opened to Students/Parents: 2/6 @8:30 AM

New Freshman Class Bake Sale

Freshman Parents: The Class of 2026 will be running a Bake Sale on February 16th and 17th to raise funds for the class. Please email the class advisor, Ms. Lauren Volosin, at [email protected] if you are willing to donate store bought items for the sale. We are looking for items like cookies, brownies, cupcakes, doughnuts, etc. Please contact Ms. Volosin by Monday, February 6th and include in the email the type and quantity of items you are able to donate.

Next Friday Are you in need of a Formal Dress?

BHS juniors, Sydney Solomon and Mackenzie Urena, are holding a FREE DRESS GIVEAWAY!

We will be offering new and gently worn dresses at no cost in various sizes and styles. All students who are preparing for a formal event are welcome. Please join us on Friday, 1/27/23 from 3:00 - 4:45pm in the Community Room at Bernards High School. No registration is required. Please spread the word! We have many dresses that we would love to go to those who can use them! 

Deadline Monday Quarter 3 Option 2 PE Exemptions

Physical Education students who would like to opt out of PE during Quarter 3 must complete the required paperwork found on the PE Google Classroom page. Quarter 3 exemptions are available for spring sport athletes and off-site activities only. All Google forms and paperwork must be submitted by the January 23 deadline. Please be sure to submit forms completely, accurately, and on time or your exemption will be denied. Contact Mr. Bale-Peña ([email protected]) with any questions after visiting the PE Google Classroom page.

Our next monthly public meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 25th at 7:30pm in the BHS Media Center, we hope you will consider joining us for our first official meeting of the new year. Please note, this will be Dr. Dempsey's last meeting as Superintendent of the Somerset Hills School District.

Catalyst's ACT Bootcamp for Bernards is next weekend! This momentum building weekend seminar gives students the insight and confidence they need on the day of the test. Students will also leave with Catalyst's self-study materials for sustained practice right up until the test. Tuition for each Bootcamp is just $175. To enroll, visit and click on the Bootcamp Sign-Up tab on the website's menu bar or call us at 800.235.0056. The ACT Bootcamp at BHS Saturday, June 2nd from 9am-1pm and Sunday, June 3rd from 9am-1pm.  Deadline is May 30th!

Celebrate our BHS graduates with balloons delivered to their mailbox!  Click here to purchase balloons online. Click here to print and mail your order. Orders will be delivered to graduates' homes on June 19th and will include a personalized card. Congratulations Class of 2018!
